Flying Lessons

What Novices can expect from our club instructors:

• Goal is 3 flight lessons per evening
• Dates & times------Every Thursday May through September 4:30pm to 7:00pm
• Courteous, professional instruction
• Call to Ray & Robins Hobby Shop by 4pm weather is bad and Novice night is    canceled 797-5196 or call Laird at 883-6964
• Learn to fly at students own pace
• Certificate of achievement and wings upon completing all requirements

What club instructors expect from students:

• Join the Portland Propsnappers R/C Club, pay the instruction fee, join AMA
• Have a fully charged receiver & transmitter battery (at least 12 hours the night    before the novice night)
• Plane fully checked out for flight worthiness at the Hobby Shop. (We can
   do this at the club field but it probably means you may not be able to fly that    particular evening if the plane needs additional work done to it)
• Additional field equipment needed:
   Glow starter, Chicken stick or
   Electric starter, Fuel
• Each modeler to observe all rules of the club and AMA
